what exactly does modernblackco do?
we bring kindred black go-getters together over two concepts that we have validated thoroughly: lack of consistent blackness in luxury settings, and the freedom to chase your ideas. modern forces like high-stress 9-to-5s have re-invigorated our desire to live with sovereignty over our schedules, but so many of us need more execution skills to get there. if we do this right, our goal is to bring more black founders, business owners, and entrepreneurs into autonomous lifestyles that aren’t ridden with constraints.
why so focused on luxury?
ever come back from vacation needing another vacation? ever go to an opulent place and feel like something is missing? other cultures have the privilege of experiencing luxury and being surrounded with familiarity (by default); outside of a few locations, we don’t get that. some of us have grown accustomed with being the only black face in a room, but at modernblackco we don’t subscribe to that. years from now, we’d love to build a black luxury hotel, for us, by us. our goal is to have it filled with black founders, entrepreneurs, and creatives ready to feel safe, authentic, and truly at home. that’s why we want you to check in today. this is just the start.
what does it cost?
As of right now, entry into the modernblackco lux community is free. for the business accelerator, we will co-collaborate on building a paid contract with you, but rates can be flexible based on need. black granite has a membership fee that will be commensurate to the opportunities provided in the community. the goal is to create unmatched, black luxury touchpoints that delight and exceed every expectation.
